"What came first, the music or the misery? People worry about kids playing with guns, or watching violent videos, that some sort of culture of violence will take them over. Nobody worries about kids listening to thousands, literally thousands of songs about heartbreak, rejection, pain, misery and loss. Did I listen to pop music because I was miserable? Or was I miserable because I listened to pop music?"- High Fidelity
music is kind of my life. and i almost feel bad in saying that, because i don't create a living through music, i don't perform any instrument, but i do live, breathe, feel music. i could go on and on about specific lyrics that have changed my life, specific concerts that have changed my life, specific artists, albums, songs that have changed my life, but i won't. i have a friend who makes fun of me terribly for being so passionate about music, and that's okay, he just doesn't understand morrissey like i do. he doesn't feel heartbreak w/nina like i do. he doesn't know what it's like to hear new order and be transported to 5th ave. ironically, i actually became friends with him because of djshadow. anyways, check out my lastfm, hypem, and 8track. if you're apart of the international mixtape project, let me know! and if not, we can send mixtapes anyways!!
